The main deficiency of our competitors' CADs for
designers is absence of design making methods database. The usual set of
methods (CMEA UCM, Unified method and one or two original methods) oriented to
manual work provides (in its best variant) mechanization, without any
real changes of designer's work.
The matter of measurements is also uncertain. Many systems use as database
industrial standards, which were issued in 1981 and 1986 (Industrial Standard
17325-86, Industrial Standard 17326-81). All of them were worked out on the base
of State Standard, which, correspondingly, was based on data of anthropometrical researches conducted in early
1960s. Now these "latest" data are being included in the systems of The third
Millennium.
Calculation methods of construction are included almost in every currently
