LEKO. CAD for pattern making (2)

Among all CADs for pattern drafting, LEKO of 6.83L version is one of the most interesting. It is the result of the best resourses-price relationship. LEKO is the perfect system for ateliers and small manufactures due to its low total cost (a computer - $400 and above, A3 printer - $350, the program - $250, that makes the total amount of $1000), wide models database, full database of State standard measurements (girls, boys, women, men) and individual measurements database.

Additional modules of the system allow to widen its resources and outstrip in development many expensive CADs.

The module of pattern digitizing via digital camera of usual photo camera and scanner will allow the designer quick transfer paper patterns into construction method, with further grading for any size/height. Low price and high usefulness, to compare with digitizer, makes it extremely profitable for any enterprise. The module of pattern digitizing can compensate optic and prospect distortion (which are usual for optic systems) and creates computerized contour of paper pattern. Using these contours, the designer can easily define allowances for "ready" model and "restore" the method of paper pattern making. It is also possible to describe a principally new model. Wide size/height database (200+200) that includes almost all existing cuts, allows the designer to minimize the period of transfer of paper patterns contours into construction method. With construction method, the designer can change allowances, length, fitting, model features and have a set of ready patterns; the changes will be brought to the full size/height range.

LEKO also has an additional module of digital photos individual body measurement. It will allow you to take measures of body position, front-back diameters, angles of shoulder slopes, waist depth, in addition to usual girths. It will give you the possibility of more exact accounting of specific features of figure and touchless sewing. To take additional measurements, 3D mannequin of individual figure, which is "put" on the photography, is created.

The price of additional digitizing module is $200, of measuring module - about $300. These modules can be integrated both to LEKO 6.83L (the first version) and to 6.85, 6.95, 7.0 (full versions).

To digitize patterns, you may use the camera with matrix size of more tan 2 Mp ($500 and above), to take measurements - more than 500 000 Mp ($150 and above).
